Penises come in all shapes and sizes. The shape however, could mean you’re at a higher risk for a number of cancers. According to Mel, a new study in American Society for Reproductive Medicine shows that the over one million men who suffer from Peyronie’s disease are at a higher risk for having testicular, stomach, and skin cancer. Peyronie’s Disease can be described as “Penises vary in shape and size, and having a curved erection isn’t necessarily a cause for concern. In Peyronie’s disease, the bend is significant, and may occur along with pain or interfere with sexual function,” according to the Mayo Clinic.   Dr. Alexander Pastuszak, the head researcher of the study, stated that the men who have the disease share a gene that leaves them open to certain types of cancer. “These men should be monitored for development of these disorders disproportionately in contrast to the rest of the population,” he stated. But fear not, men with Peyronie’s. Just make sure to keep a close, watchful eye on these cancers and have a chat about the curve with your licensed medical professional.
