Although it’s hard to separate John Krasinski from his goofy, affable character, Jim Halpert, from The Office, there’s no denying he’s making a name for himself as an action star with roles in the 13th Hour and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. It’s not a typical trajectory we see in Hollywood—something Stephen Colbert was quick to point out during Krasinski’s appearance on The Colbert Show. “Us comedy guys will never be like them,” Colbert said in jest to Krasinski. “We can’t be heroes. We’re not allowed to be sexy!” Colbert egged Krasinski on, urging him to do pushups, then punch him in the face. What ensued was a hysterical action sequence that looked right at home in a Liam Neeson or Vin Diesel flick. Krasinski got his chance to solidify his spot as an all-around tough guy, brawling with Colbert through the studio.
