John Krasinski and Jimmy Kimmel have quite a streak going: They’ve been pranking each other since 2011. Krasinski made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and the two of them took the opportunity to look back on seven years of pranking and admire their work. From a simple stunt involving Christmas decorations to a falling piano and a half-naked Santa dangling outside a window, things escalated quickly. “Remember when it started out innocent, and then I crashed your car?” Krasinski asked at one point.

Much of the pranking happened when Krasinski lived in LA, directly across the street from Kimmel. Now that Krasinski and his family have moved to Brooklyn, it’s not as easy for them to sneak into each other’s houses—but that didn’t stop the Jack Ryan star from pulling one more fast one on Kimmel.

The two also caught up about A Quiet Place, which Krasinski directed and starred in alongside his wife, Emily Blunt. The film’s success took them both by surprise, and led to a memorable encounter with their local garbage collector.
Pranking aside, it’s clear the two are good friends. “This is fun,” said Krasinski. “It’s so much fun to hang out with you.”
