The players in the spot are featured in a cool design as different holiday light displays, including Tim Hardaway Jr. (New York Knicks) vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks), Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers) vs. Donovan Mitchell (Utah Jazz), James Harden (Houston Rockets) vs. Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder), Ben Simmons (Philadelphia 76ers) vs. Kyrie Irving (Boston Celtics), and Kevin Durant (Golden State Warriors) vs. LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers), and is set to a modern rendition of “Deck the Halls,” with each beat synchronized to the players’ movements.
NBA To create the cool design of the spot, the league used traced images and footage of the players highlighted in the commercial in a 2D environment. The drawings were then transferred to a 3D world where they were turned into beautiful light sculptures. The end result was pretty awesome. Check it out:
