As reported by MSN, on Wednesday, a volcano erupted at one of Chile’s most popular ski resorts, Nevados de Chillán. Skier Gonzalo Llamas Sebesta filmed the 5,000-foot plume of dust and ash as he was on the ski lift. You might expect the eruption to spark pandemonium across the ski slopes, but as you can see in the video, the locals do not appear to be phased by the event.

According to Chile’s 24 Horas, there are six other volcanoes that have shown some kind of alert from the National Emergency Office. For now, all six are stage-yellow alerts. Typically, serious precautions do not take place until a stage-red warning is reached.
