Andrew Talbot is living his dream. The British Columbia native has been traveling for three months in his 1990 Chevy Van 30 Thomas School Bus, which he spent four and a half months building out. Renovation, customization, and building your dream are the themes that drive Talbot’s journey. His story is the culmination of a few different dreams that he had, that all somehow came together as one. Six years ago, Talbot was feeling unsatisfied with his current situation and wanted a change, so he quit his traditional job and became a visual artist. Eventually, he bought a van with little aesthetic appeal and taught himself the in’s and out’s of maintenance and repair – all with the dream of driving down the entire west coast of North America. Completely customized and shaped by hand – from the cedar rooftop deck to the crystal and stone table – “Bodhi” (as he affectionately named his bus) is a true expression of Talbot’s aptitude as a visual artist and the creativity that shapes his life.
