It might be Friday the 13th, but the good people at Timberland are betting that today is a lucky day — at least for anyone who likes their iconic boots. The company is introducing two special pairs created with Horween, the Chicago-based leather supplier that selects and finishes hides for some of the coolest companies in menswear. RELATED: 25 Pairs of Boots We Can’t Wait to Wear This Fall One pair, the 6-Inch Boot recognizable to anyone who’s ever watched a music video or walked past a construction site, has been clad entirely in Horween’s latigo-style leather, which is created from a double tanning process that renders it more flexible than vegetable tanned leathers. The other pair, Timberland’s Fabric and Leather Waterproof Field Boots, combine this leather with a few panels of cloth, which gives them a slightly sportier look. Both pairs are limited edition releases, and they’ll be available at timberland.com and a select list of retailers (which you can see in full here) starting today.
