Just when you thought backpacks couldn’t get any more innovative or useful, along came the Everyday Backpack from Peak Designs. With its innovative design, featuring padded compartments, and configurable FlexFold pocket dividers, it first raised over $6M on Kickstarter then won numerous awards upon its initial release — not just from Carryology at Outdoor Retailer 2016, but also the Popular Photography and ISPO awards this year. Heck, even we named it the Best Backpack for Photographers. No matter if you’re a weekend shooter or just like to keep your stuff dry and protected, the Peak Everyday is the real deal. And it just got better. Our friends at Huckberry in conjunction with Peak Design have released a black-and-tan, monochromatic Special Edition of the Everyday Backpack, available exclusively at Huckberry. It’s got all the features you love about the Everyday, including a dedicated, protected laptop pocket with tablet/document sleeve that’s accessible without opening the main compartment, the innovative MagLatch magnet closure system, weatherproof materials with state-of-the-art construction, a key tether, and of course those FlexFold dividers that allow for internal configuration, compartmentalizing, and gear stacking.
Huckberry
Other features include: a magnetically sealed pocket just beneath the top flap for high-value items, like your wallet, phone and travel documents; four configurable tension straps for carrying large, heavy items on the outside; protective pockets for batteries, cards, hard drives, memory banks, and other small electronics; 8 liters of internal expansion at the top of the bag; expandable side pockets for water bottles, tripods, and large accessories; and dual weatherproof side zips for top-to-bottom access from either side of the bag. Best of all, its 20-liter capacity fits a complete professional photography setup.
Huckberry
This special edition is available only at Huckberry for $259 — nearly $65 less than the regular bag’s price. For more than 25 years, Men’s Journal has been the expert in all things gear — from mountain bikes to fitness trackers, blenders to watches, and drones to cars. Every product featured on this site is handpicked by our editorial team, which means we test or trust everything. We also include affiliate links; if you choose to buy something, we may receive a commission.
