If you don’t already meditate, it’s time to start. It helps with sleep, stress, exercise, and keeping your head on straight when you’re out of sorts — something every guy needs from time to time.

For the last year, I’ve been using Headspace, a meditation app that runs the gamut of available options: Short sessions when you’re on a quick commute, emergency exercises if you’re freaking out all of a sudden, and a guided approach to beginning your meditation practice — all available on your smartphone for $12.95 a month. The best part: If you’re just trying to dip your toes a little, you can get the basics of meditation for free, and there’s an accompanying blog full of ways to get out of your head (or, more frequently, to get off social media). It has 100 percent helped me during times of high stress, insomnia, and when I’m looking to accelerate my training recovery. I fly almost weekly, and without fail I use the app on the plane, particularly when there are screaming babies on board. Screaming babies or not, if you’re ever stressed out, this is a good place to start fixing the problem.
With the New Headspace you can do multiple packs at once. So you can focus on, say, kindness during the day, and sleep at night. A post shared by Headspace (mindfulness app) (@headspace) on Jun 23, 2017 at 10:52am PDT
