The smartwatch game isn’t just for Fitbit and Apple anymore. A number of luxury watch brands—Movado, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton—have been getting into the smartwatch market. So, really, it was only a matter of time until someone decided to elevate the humble calorie counter to the AmEx Black Card market. That someone is TAG Heuer, which recently announced its Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond that sells for a totally reasonable price of about $197,000. The 45mm watch, a variant on the far cheaper Connected Modular 45 ($1,700), is made of white 18K gold and embroidered with 589 (five-hundred-and-eighty-nine!) diamonds on the bezel, horn, and strap. The watch has all of the features you’d expect out of a smartwatch, including GPS, water resistance, and support for Android Pay (AmEx Black Card notwithstanding). The watch doesn’t have a heart-rate tracker, but let’s be real: Would anyone wear a watch this expensive during their morning jog? (Presumably not.) If you’ve got a couple hundred thousand to spend and need this thing, like, now, you can theoretically buy the Connected Modular 45 Full Diamond on TAG Heuer’s website. But you’ll probably want to just order it from a local jeweler first.
