When the word shark comes to mind, it has a tendency to send shivers down a paddler’s spine. Of course, not all sharks are akin to the man-eating monsters from Steven Spielberg movies. In fact, most species of sharks are completely harmless to humans. Nevertheless, a dorsal fin coming out of the water never fails to make the heart skip a beat. In this clip, a paddler—seemingly without fear of sharks—comes across a smaller shark in shallow waters. After noticing the paddler, the shark gives the paddler a quick whip of the tail and darts off to more tranquil waters.
