After combing through the maze of booths at the Colorado Convention Center, here are uur takeaways from Day 2 and 3 of the Outdoor Retailer 2018 Winter Market. Missed our Day 1 coverage? Check it out here. Danner

The Weatherized Collection from Danner. For Fall 19, Danner is giving updates to its Mountain 600 Weatherized, with Arctic Grip in the Vibram outsole, as well as waterproofing. The brand is also updating their Trail 2650 for Fall, with a new mid-height silhouette and Gore-Tex additions that make it an excellent lightweight choice for fall and winter trail running.
Lacrosse

Lacrosse’s expanded duck boot collection. Fall 19 sees an expansion of Lacrosse’s duck boot selection, for both men’s and women’s styles. The Aero Timber Top, new for 2019, features AeroForm tech, which provides flexibility and comfort not typically found in the traditional duck boot.
Roamers

The flannel lining for Roamer’s jacket was designed in-house. Roamers caught our eye with their minimal design, timeless look, and thoughtful selection of color throughout the line. The brand is at the intersection of technical workwear and lifestyle, making it an appealing choice for those trying to work and play in the outdoors, and look good doing it. New for Fall 19, the women’s coverall, the Port Chore Coat, (which features organic cotton canvas and a custom flannel lining), and the Huron Pop Over jacket. Cotopaxi

The Nina Jacket in the cropped version.

The Burro Duffel. The Burro Duffel, part of the Field Day Collection is a multi-purpose, fully functioning 50-liter duffel that’s built to make traveling and packing accessible and easy. Cotopaxi also showed us the women’s Nina Jacket (the men’s is the Royo), a 650-fill down, multipurpose, packable jacket that comes in a 3/4 length as well as a cropped version. Cotopaxi is also continuing their sustainability story with the Monte, their 100-percent recycled training jacket. Everything except the zipper is made from recycled goods.
Icebreaker

The Layering System from Icebreaker. Icebreaker’s key narrative for Fall 19 is highlighting their Layering System, showcasing the system in an accessible format for customers to truly understand the way their three-part merino layering pieces work. The system prioritizes zoning and body mapping, fully utilizing the benefits of merino.
Duer

The Weatherproof Pant. The men’s Weatherproof Pant from Duer is built to stand up to the elements without looking overtly like a performance pant. It’s water resistant, wind resistant, and features reflective accents on the cuffs for increased visibility. It also features its waterproof membrane on the inside of the back pockets, to protect whatever you’re carrying with you.

Duer’s women’s jean jacket features the same tech and understated styles as their pants. Duer also highlighted their new jean jacket for women, which features the same cooling technology their pants have as well. Topo Designs

The Global Briefcase.

Topo is continuing to expand their apparel offering heading into Fall 19. Topo highlighted the Global Briefcase as a key product for the brand moving into Fall 2019 – it comes in multiple sizes and features grid tech fabric, YKK zippers, and an internal laptop sleeve. It also features stowable straps as well, making it a versatile and useful piece. Topo is also expanding their apparel collection – which includes the women’s Global Jacket, a utilitarian, fully waterproof shell that features fully taped inner seams and waterproof zippers. Sherpa

The Pumori Jacket from Sherpa. Sherpa gave us a look at their Pumori Jacket, part of their Fall 19 collection. The Pumori is the brand’s standout technical piece for women; a 3 layer, seam sealed soft shell. Sherpa also gave us a look at their Annapurna jacket, which features Thinsulate insulation and is Blue Sign approved. Helly Hansen

The Fjord til Fjel collection. Helly Hansen showcased their baselayers, lifestyle pieces and backcountry touring collections for Fall 19. The Fjord til Fjel collection is their performance and lifestyle collection, and is focused around the idea of going from the city to to country without having to change gear. Golite

The ReGreen Bottle jacket features a heat-transfer print, avoiding the use of dyes, and is only $100 at retail. GoLite has taken inspiration from their Go Aid and Go Responsibly initiatives to create the ReGreen Bottle jacket, which utilizes green plastic bottles to create a performance athletic jacket. Green and blue bottles cannot be recycled as easily as clear bottles, and so they typically end up in the landfill. GoLite decided to utilize green bottles and give them new life; for their efforts, they were awarded an Innovation Award at this year’s show. Merrell

The new trail running selection from Merrell. Merrell is going all-in on their trail running selection, debuting three new shoes for Fall 19. The MTL Astrum is their first true winter trail runner, and features speed lacing, a TPU coating, and a Vibram triple density outsole that mimics the performance of a snow tire.
