The craft beer bandwagon keeps on rolling. With big names like Dunkin’, IHOP, and even Blockbuster hopping on the trend and creating their own brews, there’s a beer for nearly every occasion—and every brand. Planters is the most recent player to release a themed draft: The nut brand teamed up with Chicago-area craft brewery Noon Whistle to release a new beer called Mr. IPA-Nut (a nod to the Planters mascot, Mr. Peanut).

Kraft Heinz director of marketing Ashley Tople told the Chicago Tribune that the company, which has an office in Chicago, wanted to choose a local brewery to collaborate with on the beer creation process. Noon Whistle brewer and co-founder Paul Kreiner pitched several nut-themed brews, including stouts, peanut brittle ales, and imperial ales. At first an IPA seemed like a far-fetched idea because of the beer’s fruity and bitter taste, but Kreiner welcomed the challenge. What he and Planters came up with is a combination of the brand’s honey roasted peanuts, peanut powder, and Citra hops that together make a citrusy IPA with a salty finish.

“It would have been easy to make a great stout or porter with nuts, but Planters wanted to prove that nuts go great with any style beer,” Michael Condon, owner of Noon Whistle, said in a statement. “We took their Honey Roasted Peanuts and made a great IPA that highlights both hops and peanuts.” Mr. IPA-Nut will be released on October 27, which is also National American Beer Day, and will be available for purchase at Noon Whistle and Chicago-based beer retailers.
