A baby elephant trapped in a well in India enjoyed a touching reunion with its herd after a four-hour rescue mission by local forest officials last week near the village of Thattekad in Kerala. The baby elephant fell into the well after the herd crossed the Urulanthanni River. It began crying out in distress when it repeatedly failed in its attempts to climb out, prompting local residents to summon help, according to The Hindu and Newsweek....
A Canadian fisherman caught a fish in the South Saskatchewan River that screamed a message about the destructive nature of littering and the importance of properly discarding every little piece of trash. Despite President Trump tossing paper towels to residents last Tuesday, much of the island is still without basic necessities. The music streaming platform Spotify announced today that it’s setting up two new initiatives to help support the creative communities impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The initiatives include donations to relief funds like MusiCares, PRS Foundation, and Help Musicians, as well as a match of donations made through Spotify’s website—up to a total of $10 million, according to Variety.
