The Toronto Raptors and Kyle Lowry are off to a very hot start (Raptors play the Knicks on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. ET and next week against the Celtics on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN)

Getty Images After the very strong season the Raptors had last year, the team has picked up right where they left off. After adding Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors are 10-1 on the season to lead the East, and Kyle Lowry has been playing at a very high level. The Raptors are off to a franchise-best start, and Lowry has propelled that by dishing out 10 or more assists in a team-record eight straight games. The guard is also leading the league with 11.6 assists per game and is shooting 49.6 percent from the field. The Denver Nuggets are off to a hot start, second in West behind the Warriors

Getty Images The Nuggets have been one of the best teams in the NBA in the early part of the season. The team has opened 8-1 for the first time since 1976-77, when the Nuggets first came into the league. The team has been strong on the defensive side, ranking third in the NBA in defensive rating after finishing 23rd last season. Upcoming games for Denver include the Brooklyn Nets on Fri., Nov. 9, and Sun. Nov 11 vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. Check out more on the NBA schedule at NBA.com.
