Last night, Sept. 11, on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon had guests Matthew McConaughey and Tariq Trotter of the Roots play ‘True Confessions,’ a game of deception. One of the celebs read a random fact, which the other participants had to deem true or false by means of interrogation.

Each player got two envelopes, one with a true story and one with a lie. McConaughey went first and read: “I got charged by a mountain ram at the edge of the Grand Canyon and had to throw my six-month-old child 15 feet in the air to save him.” After a minute of questioning, McConaughey revealed that it was actually a true tale. Naturally. Trotter and Fallon assumed the ridiculous story was fake, especially since McConaughey said he sent his dog off to safety before getting his son, Levi, to his now wife. “The dog was the one that was pissing the ram off,” he justified. The next two stories were almost just as wild. Take a look.
