He lost a massive amount of weight for his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club, gained weight for his role in Gold, and grew out a mullet to play the father of an FBI informant in the true-life story White Boy Rick. So it’s no surprise to see McConaughey completely lean into his performance in The Beach Bum, where he plays a poetry-writing stoner alongside Zac Efron, Isla Fisher, Snoop Dogg, and Jimmy Buffett.
