After the first heat of the Men’s 2018 Jaws Challenge, the World Surf League (WSL) put the contest on hold due to the waves being too large for paddle-in surfing. Instead, a heavy freesurf tow-in session ensued that you have to see to believe.
The #jawschallenge is off for the today. Next call tomorrow morning at 7am HST. Commissioner Mike Parsons: “The conditions aren’t favorable considering the safety of our surfers are number one priority.” Watch the freesurf live on https://t.co/ie0ZfNdmHw, WSL app, or WSL Live pic.twitter.com/3vT09xf6ZQ — World Surf League (@wsl) November 26, 2018
Surfers that are being towed into 65-foot waves and are putting on an absolute show.
