“I’m sending a letter to brewers across the country, inviting them to join us in this effort,” Sierra Nevada founder and owner Kevin Grossman wrote. “We are working with malt, hop, and yeast suppliers to provide raw ingredient donations to all participating breweries and are asking those breweries to donate 100 percent of their sales to the fund as well.” In order to view the video, please allow Manage Cookies

  Three major wildfires have devastated California since early November. The largest, the Camp Fire, was the deadliest wildfire in the state’s history. It burned through the town of Paradise, took 85 lives, and torched over 153,000 acres of land, according to Cal Fire. “Although Chico and the Sierra Nevada brewery were spared, the Camp Fire has devastated neighboring communities where many of our friends, families, and employees live,” Grossman told Bevnet. “This community has supported us for 38 years and we’re going to do everything we can to support them back.” As of Tuesday morning, almost 900 breweries across the country have signed on to brew Resilience IPA and donate 100% of the proceeds to wildfire victims. Sierra Nevada will also release Resilience IPA in cans and on draft with limited distribution in early January. Update: With 1,500 breweries now creating Resilience IPA for the Camp Fire Relief Fund, the effort is set to raise $15 million for the cause.

Here’s What You Need to Know About the California Wildfires (and How You Can Hel…
