To narrow down the options, we contacted the social media site to compile a list of the records its huge user base of runners and cyclists are looking to beat. Segments were chosen based on “popularity, days since record set, and geographic diversity.” Some of these records are several years old and may not be able to stand for much longer, so have at it. Here are the top 10 records for cycling and the top 10 records for running:
Cycling
Three Sisters – Take a ride through Central Park starting from the north end headed south. You can enter the park from 103rd St. on the Upper West Side and keep going until you hit the beginning of the segment, near the intersection of West Drive and 102nd St. Cutoff.
