Even though Game of Thrones isn’t coming back until 2019, you can get started on your celebrations this year with a drink. More specifically, a Game of Thrones beer called King in the North, inspired by Jon Snow and produced by Brewery Ommegang in upstate New York.

HBO and Ommegang have partnered on the beer, which comes after numerous other Game of Thrones-inspired beers from the company in years past. This time around, the beer is a “barrel-aged imperial stout” and will come with a “one-of-a-kind gift pack,” according to the Ommegang website.   In order to view the video, please allow Manage Cookies

Ommegang describes the beer like this: “King in the North pours jet black with a thick tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and chocolate blend with those of oak, bourbon, and vanilla. The flavor is rich and full with notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, and roasted malt up front followed by smooth bourbon and a hint of oak. The finish is thick and chewy with oatmeal creaminess, and pleasant lingering roast. King in the North pairs well with funky aged cheeses, rich dark meats and decadent desserts. It also makes a great dessert on its own.”

Brewery Ommegang The four-bottle packs will be available for purchase on November 23—Black Friday for anyone not looking at their calendars—making it the perfect holiday gift for the GoT fan in your life. The Jon Snow-inspired beer is the fourth in Ommegang’s “Royal Reserve Collection.”

“There was only one character with whom we could end the Royal Reserve Collection,” said Doug Campbell, Brewery Ommegang president, in a press release. “I don’t think we’re alone in our hopes for Jon Snow. And for those who missed one of the Collection during the year, we’re pleased to offer the opportunity to get all four at once, along with a glass in which to serve them.” Find out more about the beer at the Ommegang website, and check out the Men’s Journal coverage of Game of Thrones, which is gearing up for an eighth and final season in 2019:
