This week, Luke and Thom gear up and head out from Austin to Amarillo to see the world famous the Cadillac Ranch—a unique art installation from the 1970’s where visitors are invited to interact with the sculptures. It was a must-visit for Luke and Melissa, who have been trying to get to Cadillac Ranch over the last few years. The group left their mark—and this magazine’s—on the installation. From there, on the way to Joshua Tree, Luke suggested a detour to Santa Fe. Eager to check out all the art, culture and history of New Mexico’s state capital, Thom and Melissa jumped at the chance. The group took in the incredible art at the renowned Shiprock Gallery before heading over to Visvim, stopping along the way to listen to local musicians. Next time on Discover Beyond, Thom takes the lead and brings Melissa and Luke to some of his favorite places from Joshua Tree to Ventura County.
