Last week’s Winter Olympics opening ceremonies in PyeongChang seemed to go off without a hitch on the surface, but things were not all good on the digital side of things. Officials confirmed that a cyber attack took place during the festivities that messed with Wi-Fi and took down the official games website, according to Reuters. Sung Baik-you, the organizing committee spokesman said the problem has been fixed and that they would not be revealing where the attack came from.

This attack was not the first the games have weathered. Security software company McAfee said it had found attacks last month leading up to the games. These came in the forms of unwanted emails to Olympic officials. The company also stated other attacks were likely to occur throughout the games. While the source of the attacks is unknown, Russia said a few days before the opening ceremonies that any Russian hackers linked to Olympic attacks were unfounded.
