A female hiker’s body was recovered in Refrigerator Canyon in Zion National Park by a search and rescue team on Monday. The National Park Service announced that the Angels Landing Trail and the West Rim Trail from the Grotto Trailhead to Angels Landing will be closed on Tuesday as authorities try to determine what happened. “The injuries sustained were consistent with a high elevation fall, possibly from the Angels Landing Trail,” a press release stated.

It is not known whether the hiker was with any other hikers, and her identity and the cause of death were not released. “This is an extremely sad event.
