Kayak Bass Fishing and FLW Tournaments joining forces Big news coming in the form of a new partnership between KBF and FLW Announced this morning on the FLW website, Kayak Bass Fishing, LLC and Fishing League Worldwide will be joining forces, uniting two of the most notable tournament trails in the worlds of competitive professional kayak fishing, and bass fishing, respectively. Organizers are already planning two events to be held in conjunction on nearby waterways of each other, while still offering a joint tour stage and media outlet. The opportunity to align with FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, provides a unique offering in that Kayak Bass Fishing Tournaments have never had this scale of publicity or notoriety — if you’ve ever thought of becoming a pro, now’s an especially great time to get on the wagon. As we recently reported, kayak fishing is at an all-time stage in its growth, seeing numerous tournament offerings popping up all over the country. With hundreds of kayak anglers across the country getting their lines wet in hopes of the almighty national championship’s large prize purse, the competition is only growing. (Native Watercraft just announced a $20,000 purse/product payout for its new Tournament of Titans event, Oct. 5 in Lake Guntersville, Ala.) And, it’s not just kayak bass fishing; bass fishing tournaments, in general, are in an unseen growth stage – just read the most recent New York Times article on the larger boom at hand in the sport. Keep an eye out for more updates as the year goes on as the terms of the agreement have yet to be disclosed. For now, anglers can register for the joint-force tournament trail stops and find more information on kayakbassfishing.com/flw and flwfishing.com/kayak.
