For a limited time only (specifically starting this month through February 2018), San Francisco-based brewing company Anchor will offer its new Coffee Porter, which you can drink in both 12 oz. bottles and via draught. Anchor is touting the new brew as a twist on its classic Anchor Porter, which it created in 1972. The coffee used in the brewing process is a collaboration with fellow San Franciscans Four Barrel and their flash-chilled coffee.
The flash-chill process —also known as Japanese iced coffee — is made similarly to a hot coffee pour over, but it happens directly over ice. The chilled java will combine with the classic porter and be made available at bars and shops nationwide. Look for it with the the handy dandy Anchor Beer Finder.
