Iconic trailer company, Airstream recently introduced their new Smart Control Technology which will make your trailer experience a whole lot more convenient. With the ease of a smartphone, you’ll be able to control many of your Airstream Classic’s functions through their new control app. From anywhere, you can control the inside and outside lights, inverter, awning, vent fans, and shades. You can also check the propane, water, and battery levels, locate your trailer via GPS, and set it to certain modes such as night and cinema.

“Airstream owners have long been bringing digital technology and the Internet of Things (IoT) into their trailers, often in very creative ways,” said Airstream vice president of Product Development and Engineering McKay Featherstone, said in a released statement. “So, it’s no surprise they embrace the idea of a smart trailer, a recreational vehicle that allows them to adventure with all the digital comforts and connectivity of home.” Expanding their market in recent months, Airstream also offers two trailers at lower price points. Starting at $36,000 an updated version of their smallest trailer, the Basecamp X comes pre-wired for solar power, includes convenient USB charging ports, lockable gadget compartments, includes a kitchen and above all, sleeps two very comfortably.
