Ian Bohen has been working in the entertainment world for more than 20 years—and he’s maintained an unwavering commitment to a fit lifestyle throughout all of them. And while we’ve gotten to know him through his role as Peter Hale in MTV’s popular series Teen Wolf, Ian Bohen’s had a diverse set of roles—he even played a young Hercules back in the late ’90s. So, yeah: His commitment to fitness has clearly paid off. Bohen works out every morning, with an emphasis on strength training. He views food as fuel, but doesn’t get bogged down in calorie counting. And he’s made a connection that starting the day healthy will lead to even more healthy decisions as the day progresses, and vice-versa. In our interview above, Ian Bohen explains why he focuses so much on the weights in the gym vs. cardio, how he eats for muscle tone, and his love-hate relationship with peanut butter—plus some details around his latest two films, Wind River and Soldado.
